YouTube Pro is the dedicated Windows Phone YouTube client you've been waiting for
As much as we liked using MetroTube – arguably the best YouTube client for Windows Phone ever made, the project got killed just weeks ago. Now, however, a very promising alternative has emerged, meaning that Windows Phone has a decent dedicated YouTube app once more.

It is called YouTube Pro and can do pretty much all the things that you would require out of a dedicated YouTube client. Besides searching for and playing back videos – both in standard an HD quality, it lets you record and upload videos of your own straight from your smartphone. You can download YouTube videos to your smartphone as well. Besides, it allows you to access your subscriptions and manage your playlists. And if that is not enough, YouTube pro can list videos that have been shot near your current location. It works over both Wi-Fi and 3G too.

Currently, there is a free, ad-supported version of YouTube Pro in the Windows Phone Marketplace, but if you want to get rid of those pesky ads, the premium version is going to cost you $0.99. Feel free to check out the app by hitting the source link below.

Fortunately I still have MetroTube which I find nicer, but this is certainly a very nice Windows Phone application.

Good to see. MetroTube was going to be missed, so I am glad there is an option.

Very nice to see. I just wish there was a real YouTube client for Windows Phone. This anti-trust case between Microsoft and Google needs to come to a good end for the consumers.
