Lol! I've used it a few times, but it's so closed off (like just about everything else Apple) that it's almost useless. I don't like having to think about whether a certain person has iOS or whatever. Kik and especially Whatsapp are much better IMO.

If the person doesn't have iOS, it'll automatically convert it to a SMS message WM.

That it does, but I'm really talking about the flexibility of it... There is none. If I want to send music or a long video to someone, imessage ain't the app for that. Whatapp does it no problem.

Not much of a fan of anything on iOS but iMessage is absolutely amazing and way more reliable. All Android phones I've used have had terrible MMS and when I get decent to bad service at my house iMessage is still very fast over my WiFi. It's automatic too which is the best thing. Hangouts will hopefully get better for Android.

Hangouts is better than iMessage in every way. Ditched Skype the day they updated Google Voice to Hangouts.

MMS is universal while imessage is iOS exclusive. Most of my friend also jump ship to Samsung as they want a bigger screen phone like note 2. For me sms and mms is good enough as my phoneplan has 600 bundled per month
