Xperia X10 ready for January 18th launch?
The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is an important model for the joint venture. Besides being the first Android device manufactured by the duo, the Xperia X10 is also expected to be Sony Ericsson's flagship model. With a massive 4 inch screen, a 8MP camera and a 1GHz Snapdragon processor under the hood, the handset is the joint venture's ticket to the penthouse where today's top smartphones like the Apple iPhone, Motorola DROID, HTC HD2 and Palm Pre reside. We previously reported that the device would be launched in February, but a listing on UK online retailer Play.com shows a release date of January 18th. The Xperia X10 is on sale for 529.99 British Pounds, approximately $863 U.S. Dollars. If the earlier release date is correct, you have less time to start saving enough to pay for the phone. On the other hand, taking the 'glass is half filled' view, the device will be in your hands quicker than you thought-if Play.com has the right launch date. Otherwise, you might just have to wait a few more weeks until February for this highly anticipated phone.

its depressing to see ALL these jaw dropping phones that arent coming to U.S. i would have loved to use this phone. it looks like it would give the hd2 a run for its money, but im not leaving my carrier since most unlocked phones have to use the wi-fi. any way. sin and a shame.

I totally concur. It is upsetting to see that the greatest phones never make it to the U.S.
