HOPEFULLY the Nexus will launch with it also so that it can move to other carriers.

I dont know iphone arena has not reported yet but the galaxy is coming out on the eighth of december I've got confirmation about 5 different times from my verizon representative as a matter fact I called today and the lady said that it's just been updated today and thats phone is still on schedule to be released for verizon on december eighth the store is having get in accessories for about 2 weeks the delay was because of some glitches in the software well actually it was a glitch in van software and how it interacts with the hardware I can not give proof but that's what I have been told at least 4 or 5 times I will copy and paste this to a couple other comments sections I would I figured phone arena would have found out some official by now they always beat me to the info.

milking the droid brand... hmmmm.. another "ipad killer".... unless it cures cancer.. i dont see this brick selling

6. Cwebb posted on 23 Nov 2011, 13:18 1

Good luck selling this with the Asus Transformer Prime shortly over the horizon

7. KingKurogiii posted on 23 Nov 2011, 13:19 2

the Transformer Prime will be a Wi-Fi only device and won't have LTE. this thing will probably get wayyy more marketing especially if it turns out to be a Droid.

8. Cwebb posted on 23 Nov 2011, 13:26

But most of the people that will get a high-end non-iPad tablet have a 4g smartphone, so they could just tether it to it...

9. KingKurogiii posted on 23 Nov 2011, 13:35

that's rather presumptuous don't you think? xD

10. Cwebb posted on 23 Nov 2011, 13:39

How many people are tossing $550+ for a high-end tablet and don't have any sort of Droid smartphone? lol

11. KingKurogiii posted on 23 Nov 2011, 14:07 2

that doesn't necessarily mean that they're 4G. Tablets are hardly justifiable to people with "Droid" Smartphones, myself included. if i were to get one i'd only get a Galaxy Tab 7.7 or a XOOM 2 Media Edition for myself. my dad and sister want a Transformer Prime for their own reasons. i'm not saying the Transformer Prime won't sell i'm just saying the XOOM 2 has built in 4G LTE and Carrier Marketing on it's side.

12. roldefol posted on 23 Nov 2011, 14:13 2

People are quick to jump on 8" as too small for a tablet, but that's just because the iPad set a precedent at 10". I would never buy a 10" tablet, but 8" is a sweet spot - much bigger than a phone, but compact enough for a big pocket.

15. Cwebb posted on 23 Nov 2011, 14:21 1

Personally I'm not buying a tablet until Windows 8 comes out so I can completely replace my laptop. And I see what your talking about, how the general public is going to see it more from ads, but I think that for someone who looks hard into it, they will pick the Transformer

17. KingKurogiii posted on 23 Nov 2011, 14:33 1

yeah, the trade offs do lean more towards the Transformer Prime with it's obvious amounts of power, the pricing, the fact you can get one at 64GB, the slimness achieved with metal alloys and the USB Host support with the Laptop Dock. those are all the points i put in favor of the Transformer Prime.

i actually have the Windows 8 Beta right now and i'm not really that impressed with it. i'd rather get a more powerful Windows 7 Laptop. i have a Windows 7 laptop now but it was given to me and it just has a Celeron. more powwaz for me pl0x!

18. Cwebb posted on 23 Nov 2011, 14:39

I'm using the Windows 8 beta too, and it totally doubled the speed time of my PC, and the little things like boot up time is incredibly better just in beta. The alternate homescreen isn't useful on traditional set-ups, but helps on a tablet. I want a tablet/laptop hybrid like the Transformer so I can have a tablet with an actual tablet OS, that can still run games like Skyrim/MW3/Starcraft and Word, and be touchscreen and incredibly mobile

19. KingKurogiii posted on 23 Nov 2011, 14:44

that sounds good but i don't think i'll want to get it when it's in it's infancy. i'll wait a year or two for a Windows Tablet/Laptop Hybrid.

21. Cwebb posted on 23 Nov 2011, 14:53 1

After another year of development I expect Windows 8 to be worthy of replacing my 4 year old cheap laptop, which has been through hell and Windows 8 literally brought it back and made it seem like a new computer

16. KingKurogiii posted on 23 Nov 2011, 14:27 1

yeah i wouldn't want to replace my laptop or anything but i do want something big and portable that's easy to carry around for trips or for just when i decide i want to bring it when i go out.

26. ardent1 posted on 23 Nov 2011, 16:45 1

You mean a long and narrow pocket as android tablets tend to be long and narrow.

13. shifu posted on 23 Nov 2011, 14:16 1

Once i obtain both primes i will rename myself sifuprime

I just dont see/understand all the pushing and shovering about windows 8!..........haven't seen this much noise around a win mobile os.........since winmobile 5!

22. Cwebb posted on 23 Nov 2011, 15:07

A tablet running a tablet OS based on Windows 7 that can run full-scale games like Skyrim/MW3 on full-HD tablets and actually traditional Windows office? Whats not to like

23. shifu posted on 23 Nov 2011, 15:19 1

Really? to play computer games? leave that to my goliath desktop! HD movies no doubt! I'm a huge movie finatic, traditional windows office........... i can def see a 3rd party version of word! So again why the excitement around win8......

28. ardent1 posted on 23 Nov 2011, 16:48

Don't replace your laptop yet -- new MS operating systems tend to be released with bugs.
