I just talked to Best buy and that loser doesn't even know whats going on...this is the last time I am going to deal with that shity unorganized company. I know more about phones then those reps at the mobile department. Managers are idiots when it comes to hiring people.

Yeah, they suck, but it is not necessarily the Reps problem. They don't get proper or thorough training. I don't think they work on commission, so they have little incentive to know what they are talking about. Best Buy needs to do better with their training.

Most of us know more about a phone then they do and most of us didn't even have training. Its just called research, youtube, and reading articles. I mean I went into verizon and this lady asked me if I wanted to buy a new phone and I said no I'm waiting for the droid x to come out. She says in response "uh I never heard of that phone" seriously? I mean this was last weekend. Its sad when customers know way more about their cell phones than the workers who get paid to.

I know what your talking about. I went to verizon with my dad once (he made the mistake of getting the storm) the guy behind the counter said "the only problem after the software update is the software" like where the hell do they get these people?

That sounds so stupid...my cousing had his STORM flashed for use on CRICKET and works well, except it was not a complete flashed rom and VERIZON still appears on it...It is all about edumadacion...err, education. COMPANIES need to take the iniatitive andadvise their managers to ensure everyone is trained on the terminology.

COMPANIES do not release the info to their workers until it is official and by then we all know about through tech sites and blogs...

I know how you feel, some guy from a Verizon Kiosk asked what carrier I had, I told him Sprint, he said well did you know that Verizon has the largest network, even bigger than sprint, and sprint is spotty, I told him really? Verizon and Sprint share the same CDMA network and Sprint can biggy back off of Verizon's network and I don't accrue roaming charges.. he just looked at me with a confused look on his face.. :P

What he should have actually done was call you on your partially correct, bullshit statement.

They should at least know about the phones they are trying to sell you. I got amusement by asking one of the workers what's the processor that the droid incredible had and the girl just looks at me and she's like uh...let me ask my supervisor. THEY ADVERTISE THE 1GHz snapdragon processor on their commericals and ads for crying out loud. They don't need training to simply know things about phones. We all do because we look it up, it takes a few freakin seconds. Its not difficult and there's no excuse for it.

you would figure they would know that, but oh well..

This is typical with most telecom companies - unless you get lucky when you call in and speak with a techy person, you will get knowhere - maybe you should ask for a transfer to tech when you call in?

Yea a couple of my friends from high school work at best buy mobile and they know everything about the phones. I was talking with them about the droid x and iphone 4. They are tech geeks like me so they know what's going on. Sadly to some people its just a job.

Seriously, Best Buy is just a bunch of ticket takers. They set a best buy mobile store up with in spitting distance from my store and they are always giving out wrong info. They mainly sell T-Mobile phones there cuz the only people that buy from them are cheap asses and those are T-Mobiles customers for you... People with no credit... Honestly the only reason they can even get rid of phones is because they literally throw them out the door at people. They don't know their shit or know how to sell, so they give away $200-300 phones for free. Oh and in regards to Fanboys Suck, no they don't work on commission, they work on butt grease...
