Good for Vietnam. Affordable Xiaomi phones will go very well with the $6 unlimited 3g data plan over there.

Samsung - South Korea.
Sony - Japan
LG - South Korea

Apple - American

I think you are a bit off in that one, since the first three are asian companies, only apple is not, so yeah, apple might get hit quite a bit if the trend continues with power swinging towards asia.

No one can really say, we will have to wait and see

The other phone OEMs are asians too so it doesn't look good in that sense but it has nothing to do with where the companies are origin from. Apple is simply too naive and stupid to get expensive phone to compete against those cheap phones. Oneplus One just showed how you can make a nice phone for cheap without ripping people off.

Apple will lose Asia for sure. And it seems like they will lose the rest of the world too if One plus one manage to make great phones for that price in the future.

It's pretty obvious actually. Microsoft is raping Android even though a PC OS is like nothing like a mobile one. Apple got 1 billion from Samsung for packaging and round corners. HTC is getting raped all around by Nokia and Apple even though The company that supplied Nokia was the one that sold the parts to HTC.

No one wants anything to do with the US market because of Apple and Nokia blatantly bullying people. The Sony and Xiaomi lawyers were probably ask is their a big legal risk if we concentrate on America. The lawyer's answer probably ranged from I have no idea to yes it is a huge risk.

I think US has enough cheap-premium devices like Nexus and OPO now. Let other countries enjoy some low price-high end devices.
