"X" marks the spot on Nokia's treasure map for MWC

Over in Asia, on Nokia's Weibo site, the manufacturer teased its MWC appearance by releasing a treasure map. And what treasure might Nokia be guiding you to? Well, considering that "X" marks the spot, it would seem logical to assume that Nokia is talking about its Nokia X. This is the device that had the code name of Normandy and runs on Android.

The latest specs for the phone show a 4 inch screen with resolution of 480 x 854 and a pixel density of 285ppi.. A dual-core 1GHz Snapdragon 200 is expected to be powering the phone, which will feature 512MB of RAM and 4GB of native storage. A 32GB capacity microSD slot will be available and a 5MP snapper is expected to grace the rear of the device. Android 4.4.2 is said to be pre-installed.

As for the treasure map, we've seen all sorts of weird theories about the symbolism of the two monkeys. If you really want to know what Nokia is promoting, stare at the four converging green arrows until you see the letter X. At that point, everything comes into focus.

Thanks, Anonymous Tipster!

This Normandy is first move by Nokia. Let's wait for second move, will be interesting. We will see high end in second move for sure.
They will see sell because they worry can be fail but we know will not and if it's bring good sell then we know Nokia will make high end android.

1+
everybody at some point had a nokia. everyone is a nokia lover at heart. they just moved to other brands because nokia was too stubborn to adapt the new market rules. i hope one day theyll make something like n95 which stood out in the crowd of other phones.

Hopefully this will begin a new era for Nokia, with Android maybe it will lead later to high end devices.

Nothing new. MWC is going to be all about Samsung, Qualcomm, and HTC.

I am an asian chinese so I should be able to translate the chinese words in pic 1 and 2. It says: "see you under the tree". Which I s totally irrelevant to normandy release. Unless they're planning a press conference under a tree.
