X-Factor app for Android keeps you up to date on the $5 million contest
Miss the rapport between Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul? The pair is back as judges on the U.S. version of the U.K. import, the X-Factor which had its debut on Fox yesterday. For those who like to know the latest news about the contestants, watch video from the show and even vote for their favorite singer, the X-Factor app in the Android Market is now available.

You can install the X-Factor app for free from the Android Market as long as the device you are installing it on runs Android 1.6 or higher. It is a fairly huge download at 48MB, so make sure you have room for it before you start the download. For those who have been under a rock for the past few months, the singing contest offers a $5 million recording contract for the winner. Unlike American Idol, groups can compete together and singers as young as 12 can enter.

If you viewed last night's premiere episode and can see yourself becoming a big fan of the show, go ahead to the Android Market and download the app which will allow you to be an informed voter when it comes time for you to voice your opinion over who should win the $5 million clams.

Hell I'm a "good" singer and guitarist. I don't even want to be on that crappy show! Why would ANYONE want an app that takes up 48MB on my Bionic just for some stupid twitter-like updates.
