Regardless of fault, Apple should replace it since they basically charged her the price of three iPhones. Even if they replace it their profit margin is still $200 dollars, if a customer doesn't replace one its more like $400 profit.
Apple raped her with a $400 profit margin and should take care of their victims. Period. It is their duty with 100 billion in liquid assets in the bank to at least try and protect their good image.
If public relations was smart they would just tell phonearena to publish an article that says they sent this lady a new iPhone 4s and take care of their victims...er... I mean customers.

Well, when it comes to doing retarded sh*t and not having the foggiest idea how things work, Indians typically take the cake at least based on what I've seen the last 4 years in the industry

If the water indicator idea was from the second photo, that isn't a damage indicator, that's a SIM card... these photos dont show the indicators, which are located inside the headphone port, and near the charging adapter.

Wow that is pure liquid damage... I hate it when customers accuse the device of being defective when they know they dropped in their cup of coffee or ice melted from a cup of water and their phone was next to it and just didnt notice... Some people just like to play dumb. Especially nigerians
