maybe because of the target market. I mean, there are many cheap androids out there and they are targeted to senoirs or children (even some adults) who are new to cell phones. I odnt think they download as many apps. Althogh IOS also has this factor, its odd that they have such a high number.

I was wanting to get a WP7(.5) phone but I heard the new Apollo lines were coming out later. So I checked the market. However, I honestly didn't see many good, nor free, apps.

And personally, I downloaded WAY more than 30 apps. Maybe 300 would be a real number. (since i have a low-end one, i had to download, delete, move to SD, and more deleting)

I wonder if this infograph addressed total downloads, or downloads minus deleted.

iOS probably has a high number of apps because they ask other people with iPhones for good apps. To be honest the iPhone is essentially an application launcher

Probably because Android gets the majority of the market that are looking for phones that suit them (In price, size, screen, storage etc...) so they don't actually use the other features of the software more.

Even as an Android user, I have to admit that I still miss some of the apps that I had on my iPhone 4. Android apps still leave a lot to be desired when it comes to selection.

Most of the photo editing apps aren't available, most of the better games aren't available, etc..

I keep bugging the developers to make them for the GS II, but it doesn't look like they are going to.
