0. phoneArena 02 Sep 2013, 14:05 posted on

The trends that we've been seeing in the smartphone market look to be continuing. Android, not surprisingly, is grabbing more share, and leading the way. iOS is holding steady in the number two spot. And, Windows Phone is continuing to separate itself as the clear number three, and a potential threat to iOS down the road...

For nt going for LAGDROID....that is hungry for power of 8 cores

Wp has not even some common feature like vpn, seperate volume controling, good music player and bundle of famous apps still it is rising immensly means it is something special......

I just know the 8.1 update will help it cross ios if apple don't get it right.......it the matter of time
I wish these numbers help get attention of cool developers so we can have even better experience on our phones ....

To be honest no Devs are interested in this platform! MS had to pay 1million to Devs to make apps for it's platform! Even carriers like Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile were all forced and selling the device for free to get sales pushing!

There only can be 2 OS that dominates, that's the 1 and only great "Android" along with iOs™ and 4th is NokiWp8

I think things may change for Microsoft once Steve Balld'mer
retires. As for iOS, once iPhone 5.01-S/C gets released next month, it will plummet into an abyss of utter chAiOS!!

My s4 begs to differ

Face it theres still lag, you android fanboys always say theres no lag then when an update comes out you shout how now theres no lag and it goes on and on

Stop the sucking up to the robot...lag exists deal with it. It hasn't stopped me enjoying my device for the most part

I don't know how many times I have to explain this to people... If you don't use a "smart" feature, then disable it. It eats up RAM in the background, and is useless if you don't use them. Disable them, set the animation settings to 0.5x in developer options under the settings and I guarantee you your problem will be gone.

Kid ive done all that so dont talk down to people like you know more then them.

Its also rooted and ive hibernated many apps that would run in the background. Also quarantined some and removed alot of the bloatware.

So please dont, lag still exists and im ok with it due to the fact im not living in a fanboy world where android must be perfect

Can you not address people more respectfully? "Kid" "fanboys" etc are few words that you have too much affection for and can't help but repeating them almost on every post.. Honestly before calling anyone "kid" you need to disclose your mental age first.

Now come .. yell at me :)

If I yelled at you well you would cry and go get your fanboy backup. Your acting the peacekeeper yet never say the same to those trolling wp or ios in fact you troll those articles and talk to others worse yet have the cheek to say that.....too funny

Go get sleepy rusty we all know you need someone holding your hand also you never addressed anything in my comment...your irrelevant

See most on here have looked over the fact I never once said I dont enjoy my s4 they straight away become defensive about the lag.

I have one main issue which is the sd card problem ive tested and the card isnt faulty so its down to the device. Samsung should look into it

What SD card do you have?brand speed etc. I had SD card issue on my s3. None on my s4 yet, thought I did last week when the s4 stopped reading the card but turned out the card died, didnt work anywhere.. using a 32gb official Samsung card now. On xda when I was reading about my s3 card issues, someone mentioned that soothing might have been so only Samsung cards work faultless, not sure if true but for for thought.. SD card dying also made more grateful of cloud storage, had a lot of family PIC etc but luckily I had it backed up on drive.. still prefer SDslot though.

ive got a 64gb class 10 sandisk

ive read up that there are many problems with this type of card in the s4. many are having problems but ive tested the card in 3 other device and its flawless which point to an issue with the s4 although no one is 100% sure.

ive heard that samsung cards seems to work better in the galaxy phones but there are some saying that even a 64gb from samsung has issues. looks like the issue revolves around that size. no one has had numerous problems with 32gb card

will be trying a samsungg card soon to hopefully fix the problem.

Always the same group of Samsung haters that don't own the device that claim S4 lags.

My colleague a casual phone user when ask say its ok. 'What lag,,, .where?'

People will still buy what they want and the haters are just wasting their time and energy. He buy the phone for the bigger screen and if Apple iPhone is 5" he would go back to iPhone.

I have 2 devices the s4 and 808. Cant handle the fact im honest about the s4 well dont come on here if you want to live in denial

In no s4 hater, I love my s4, the 5"screen in a smaller body, removable battery and storage, home button etc but when the s4 was released there was "lag" issues but since the app2sd update performance had been 99% of the time great but every now and then there is small hiccups in animation ie frame drops. Had it been a deal breaker? Not at all. I have a feeling the next update will sort out that 1%.

Don't blame the "RAM" blame the Snapd®agon™ "Weak" CPU! Which struggles to push those S4s features!
We need the S800 for pure smooooooth butter like experience!

Good post.. Many Android users on phone arena just are not educated enough. I have been using it for 4 years now...Windows phones need to be more like it..and better, if possible.

I don't see it on my N4 like you're always making it out to be. Then again, I'm using stock Android.

My n4 never lagged either, I no longer have it but it was good. I disliked stock because it was to generic for me. The s4 on the other hand stutters often.

Your a liar, nothing beats stock lol.. Have always found stock rather boring too. Its why I like tw because it's filed with options and I know people complain but I like the option to pick and choose what features I want. I do prefer the look of stock though.

There absolutely is lag on the Samsung Galaxy S4 so you are right in that respect. Compare your phone to the HTC One, which performs much better.
