Windows Phone developers working with the Windows Phone 8.1 SDK are releasing some more information about new features they've spotted on Microsoft's mobile OS. One new feature is the burst camera mode that apparently will be available to Windows Phone owners in 8.1. Part of the feature will give users the ability to select when the pictures will be removed from your handset...

HAHAHA! You crack me up! So when it's MS, it's not copying, eh? My god! There's no need to argue with biased fanboys like you.

Its funny seeing that come from a biased fandroid troll like you. Go back to your laggy little mess and stay there.

You mean the most advanced mobile OS out there according to professional reviewers, technophiles and general public? I'm already there and I have no plan to move to sub-par OSes that are lagging behind in terms of usability, flexibility, efficiency, performance, customization and features anytime soon.

usability? what you cant use a phone? huh...what have I been playing with for 2 years?
Flexibility? in doing what? custom rom's? yes because over 90% of people do that...just like 90% of people hack the windows registry to skin it....
Efficiency in what? What are we doing? Office work? Sorry my integrated office wins hands down. Music? 4500 files in the cloud on all my devices, tablet, pc, xbox and phone say otherwise, maybe games? oh wait checking the weather...please, oh wait maybe in the notification bar....
Performance? In what? When a 521 can run the software that a mobile os was delaying for months to finalize software that could handle lower specs, that is not performance. There is a reason why the web is filled with 'my droid is slow', and app store filled with apps just to combat a slow droid.
Customization, your right, being able to set my background was what I needed all along. Sorry I prefer my tiles customization over a background. There are things I could want or think of, but nothing is a need. My 925 in terms of productivity works around my note 3 with ease.

I was dead serious with my comment, but if you want a troll comment, then look elsewhere.
65. NokiaFTW (Posts: 2003; Member since: 24 Oct 2012)
I don't have to look elsewhere since there are plenty of fandroid trolls here.

Whaaaa? WP to get NEW features? Interested
12. uchihakurtz (Posts: 240; Member since: 12 Nov 2012)
Wut?? Saving password on websites isn't a basic feature in WP?? Wait, that's not even a feature, it's like a general part of a browser isn't it?
24. Napalm_3nema (Posts: 922; Member since: 14 Jun 2013)
You forget that mobile IE, like its desktop counterpart, is the least feature-filled of browsers. It looks awful, performs worse, and surprise, it's the best browser on WP. Go figure.
27. NokiaFTW (Posts: 2003; Member since: 24 Oct 2012)
It might be slow on PCs but its very fast on WP. Then again, how would you know the meaning of fast.
87. elitewolverine (Posts: 1556; Member since: 28 Oct 2013)
Performs worse? At what?
Because it doesn't save passwords?
What it does let me do? go to my banks website, play googles music service, and pretty much everything that the droid browser does.
Also UC browser saves passwords. Then again I hardly hardly doubt you have put the phones side by side like I do everyday at work.

I'm not sure I understand here... I never have to enter a password after the first and it always ask if I want to save password.

I like what I see so far very clean looking with google c: I pray that WP8.1 gets a better video player that's like the only thing that's stoping me from getting it. Media is important to me. I am getting a macbook this fall with Parallels 9 or 10 and idk what tablet to get. Their are a few apps I want for WP and hope they come out soon.
Nokia phones are beautiful and full of life. Black and white or even gold is depressing if you have it long enough in my honest opinion.

just get a windows tablet, I got a Lenovo lynx for 250 on newegg, full blown windows.
And better video player? I am intrigued at what a video player should do other than play files, play, rewind forward. Guess I relegate my tablet for more videos than my phone.

MS are going all out with WP8.1. Best of luck to them. Can't wait for April. :D

Hoping they should fix the Battery Charging bug, where when you see the charging is already 100%, after unplug it shows below 95%. And being stuck at 87%.
Add a feature to change the background layout of the Metro Screen. It would be nice if they can PERSONALIZE it.
33. Akfred (Posts: 72; Member since: 08 Nov 2012)
That's a very big lie, maybe u need to change your charger,
Cos no one has ever had this issue before.
It happens most times on my Android phone and later
Discovered its the charger and not the Os itself.
89. elitewolverine (Posts: 1556; Member since: 28 Oct 2013)
I get the battery bug sometimes on the 925, though I have developer preview and witnessed it only twice. There has been two updates that our phones received and have not seen it since. Though hers was 10% battery even though it was charged. You would launch and app that hid the bar, then it would show the proper battery life. Also the phone info showed the right battery info even though the battery icon did not.
Do a reset, we didn't, but it should work. Oddly the bug only affected the 925, my 8x and 521 both dev unlocked, did not get this bug.

Maemo was around well before android and yet the latter doesn't even come close in terms of customization and features.

They seem very busy between updates on WP and the Xbox one getting two updates
50. boblight (Posts: 82; Member since: 28 Jul 2012)
Sweet ! With all these major features getting updated or implemented really shows how the WP Division is working hard to bring everything that they have to the OS !
66. znellu (Posts: 69; Member since: 05 Dec 2012)
So much hate on WP on tech websites! What's wrong with these Android users?! There are lot of people who like WP for what it is, including me. The best part of the OS is the Live Tile system IMO. I get to know a lot of updates through just the tiles on the start screen and there's no need to go into the specific app. It's no doubt there are some features which are missing in the OS, and that doesn't mean that it needs to be directly compared to Android as the latter one has already reached a mature status. Lot of things are being added into the OS and WP 8.1 seems to be a major milestone update.
Can't wait to see all the goodies which is gonna come with it!
67. NokiaFTW (Posts: 2003; Member since: 24 Oct 2012)
Couldn't agree with you more. These Fandroids just can't keep their noses out of a WP related article. I think they are fascinated by WP's growth & maturity.

Bought a lumia 625 as a backup/office use phone yesterday and i already started hating it. You cant restore your old sms text messages to it. WP didnt had an option to disable auto rotate till its last update. Things in settings are so messed up compared to android. All scrambled here and there under different names. Takes many taps to make a call. Facebook app looks horrible. Turning on wifi/mobile data is inside settings/wifi. No toggles like android. You cant compare Android and Windows phone. Android is rich with many features and you have hell loads of options to tweak it. You have freedom in android. Windows phone on the other hand is simple and Lag free. Those who just need the basic functions like calling messaging and checking mail WP is for you. But Remember you dont even have chrome in it.
75. NokiaFTW (Posts: 2003; Member since: 24 Oct 2012)
Who here even compares Android to WP other than those stupid little fandroid trolls? If you didn't like the OS, its ok. No one is forcing anyone to like any particular OS, other than those fandroid trolls.

Man, at least the current Facebook app is a lot better than it was last summer. The old design was totally terrible. It carried the usual WP-ish look, but almost half the screen was made useless, lol. There was also a period of time when the facebook app on WP was filled with a bunch of Walmart ads. I saw more than 6 of them in a row (absolutely annoying, seriously), and it only showed on my Lumia, not on facebook website or facebook app on android.
So yeah, I'm not saying that the facebook app on WP is as good as one on Android or iOS, but it has gotten a lot better. :D
90. elitewolverine (Posts: 1556; Member since: 28 Oct 2013)
hmmm never got that bug.
Though I never use the facebook app.
I mean when the phone does it for me for the features I use the most, I only go to the app to accept friend requests, everything else is done through the people hub.
Also the photo hub is best at showing me only photo stuff.
Though I mainly use my fb as a photo hub and laughing at photos, than to share the latest drama about my life on it.
91. hurrycanger (Posts: 1092; Member since: 01 Dec 2013)
Haha, I'll just say no to dramas. xD
Anyway, I wasn't talking about bugs. The walmart ads were probably shown because Microsoft let it. The stupid UI was there because it was the design of the facebook app back in May or June last year. They weren't bugs. They were created like that.
The Walmart ads didn't appear when I first got the 521. It was a while after, it was sometime in June, I think. (or maybe in August after I updated the facebook app to the new UI. I can't remember this correctly)/

background wallpaper just like windows 8... Give me 3 years to return to Windows phone (when windows phone is perfect and Windowsbreak is available)
