Windows Phone 7 update "not so massive", set to bring WP7-powered handsets to Verizon and Sprint

Windows Phone 7 update
Contrary to what we heard - that MS could have as well called this very anticipated Windows Phone 7 update "Windows Phone 8.0" - it now seems likely that some much wanted features like multitasking would still not be present. Fair enough, this update of Microsoft's new OS would deliver the copy&paste function and it would make the phones running the platform CDMA enabled (as of now, the Windows Phone 7 handsets support only the GSM technology).

This update is expected in early January, although no official date is announced. We have been receiving mixed signals how the mobile platform has been faring, although it would be after the festive period when a more clear view about the sale number of WP7-powered devices would emerge.

Agree. But, I'm sure they want to make sure it's as perfect as possible before releasing it. They can't mess up this time around.
