Intrepid reporters have apparently revealed the totally redesigned logo that will be attached to Windows 8, which borrows heavily from the Metro UI part of the operating system...

The Windows-logo was beautiful... it was...

The new logo is somewhat representative of the new interface, it is still not original enough. It looks more like a logo for some sort of printing company, although I like the simplicity and up-to-date-ness of the logo.

This logo could be better....Just saying....

I totally think that Win 8 tablets will KILL the iPad. Metro-style interface for basic iPad-like tasks + FULL desktop Windows OS. That, with Intel's new chips, meaning it can run x86 software will be awesome. :)

I'm still waiting to see those full strength windows8 tablets running with x86 chips. If they can prove to be smooth, stable, and compatible with most PC apps and mobile apps, I'm going to probably throw some money down. That is assuming they wont really be 1000 bux like other reports suggested. If they can keep them price wise with the ipad or lower, then I think its going to be a big winner. Throw on 50-100gb of SSD and give us removable Micro slots to compensate for anything else, and lets get rockin!

It is no doubt that most people will prefer a tablet with a desktop like but touch optimized interface. I believe de 1st windows 8 tablet will set a world record with sales.cos I cant think of any geek out there who wouldn't sell their laptops for a full os running tablet???

Most rumors are yes. But that is all they are- rumors. Will pass on any good info as it rears it's ugly head. Stay hopeful.

34. remixfa posted on 15 Feb 2012, 08:52

If I had to bet, I'd say yes since they all have the same minimum standards. At worse, it would go to the ones with the stronger specs like the Nokias that are clocked to 1.4ghz (that and nokia gets special treatment)

@ilia1986: What was the purpose of your comment? The article is about the redesigned Windows logo. No mention is made of Apple or the iPad.

As basic as the new logo is, I find it aesthetically pleasing and fell it encompasses both the history and future of Windows. I am glad to see they didn't try to 3 dimensionalize the logo like AT&T did.

Nope. The purpose of my post was to express my opinion. Oh, and promote an Anti-Apple propaganda to support freedom of choice in consumer electronics, minor things, I know. :)

may be they should add some color to each tile... i liked the waving colorful flag... although I love the wp7 phones and interface, this logo could be a little better.. I think ;)

God windows 8 is coming out and they haven't even fixed the problems with windows 7 64bit yet. Windows XP was the best OS they put out, and they want to put out a new OS ever 3 years! Haha

18. EclipseGSX posted on 14 Feb 2012, 13:52 2

what "problems" i haven't had any problems with 64bit unless I'm trying to run an ancient program that is no longer being supported. XP is the new windows 95

My laptop has a 2.6ghz Intel i5 CPU and 4gb of ram and it lags even while typing or the system runs slow at times. Talked to many of friends with windows 7 64bit and they have same to similar problems. Even loading in pages or tabs are slow, I have a 15mb connection so that isn't it. Scan for viruses and spy and malware and nothing found. I thought is was a step up from windows vistas problems but haven't really found it any better.
