Will the HTC Trophy be a prize?
Will the HTC Trophy be a prize?
A clear picture of the HTC Trophy has been leaked and the enterprise-centric handset shows off its 3 inch touchscreen capacitive display. Powered by Windows Mobile 6.5, the Trophy also features a physical QWERTY keyboard. Under the hood you'll find the Qualcomm MSM7227 clocked at 600MHz, 512MB ROM/256MB RAM. The handset has 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, and a 5MP camera as well as sporting a 3.5mm audio jack and a microSD slot. The Trophy has HTC's TouchFlo3D keeping you away from Windows Mobile for as long as possible. At just 11mm thin, turn the Trophy on its side and it looks like it has disappeared. The candybar form factor phone has no set date for launch or price range. It did show up on the leaked HTC roadmap.

Looks promising. This is about the third or fourth such device I've seen on the horizon for this year. Makes you think this will be the new smartphone look going in to the latter half of 2010.

I like the idea of having a touchscreen and a QWERTY in a candybar form factor. That's a shame its running Windows though.

Yes but your 3Gs is the 'best' Apple has to offer, this is going to be just 'something for the business people that need a qwerty-keyboard'. You really want me to take out my HD2 and compare stats with your iTelephone?

It's actually a fan render, and the picture with the specs added (which HTCPedia watermarked, but failed to source) was one which I threw together in photoshop from the leaked 2010 HTC roadmap: http://www.slashgear.com/htc-trophy-gets-clearly-pictured-qwertytouchscreen-winmo-candybar-3072120/

This phone looks nice and should be rewarded from running windows. This phone is made for business so why not have windows?
