Only and I mean ONLY if they can keep the price range about 299. If they try to make the same mistake HTC, Samsung, and Motorola in general have been making countless times and matching the price of the iPad, this device will fail.

Honestly, I think amazon realizes this. As they have seen with the original fire. HTC's devices are great, if they wouldn't have just marketed them to the stupid carriers with data plans and outrageously expensive prices. They were more worried about profits than moving product, and we see where that got them. Margins aren't everything if you can't move product. Unfourtunately, HTC still hasn't seem to learn their lesson.

Real mistake wasn't the fact that they were all priced near the ipad but the fact that they were using inadequate tegra2 to drive these so called multimedia devices

As long as they produce quality tablets like Asus Transformer Prime or Galaxy Tab 7.7, i couldn't careless how much they cost

As for competing against the Note, it looks like the upgrade on the Note is quite substantial on top of the fact that it uses wacom digitizer layer

I agree, but I disagree. If they release it, hopefully with a damn FRONT-FACING CAMERA (!!!!!), they should keep the price low, but reasonable enough to make a profit. The original Fire is great, but the wifi-connectivity is still spotty, the UI grows old on you fast, and it doesn't have any video-call capabilities to make it really stand out. I would love to see at least a 1.3MP on the next generation to make me get one, or I'll sell mine and upgrade to an Acer 510 Olympic Edition.

If they can do that for about 350, I'm sold. 299 is always a good price though.

10.1 is my favorite, no doubt.
The bigger, the better, haha. Unless we're talking about laptops. Then, about 11 to 13 inch is perfect.
