New WifiMapper for Android shows you free Wi-Fi hotspots nearby
With more than 3000 beta testers and 650 million locations mapped, the new WifiMapper from OpenSignal is already shaping up to be one of the best free Wi-Fi hotspot locator apps on Android.

Besides the maps showing you the hotspots around where you can grab a session or two over coffee or nothing, WifiMapper offers both native hotspot reviews, and ones coming from Foursquare members. The growing community is encouraged to submit new places or edit existing ones in partnership with OpenSignal, and the devs are aiming for daily updates of the database.

WifiMapper is planning to intro offline mapping, leaderboard scores for the most active users when it comes to hotspot updates, secure password sharing for hotspots, and more. If you are planning to travel and need to save on roaming charges, have a look at the app's database for the city you are going to, and hit the source link if the shoe fits.
