White Nexus 4 listed as "no longer available for sale" in the Play Store

0. phoneArena 03 Jul 2013, 19:31 posted on

The white Nexus 4 has been on the ropes for a while now, but it has finally taken the knockout punch, apparently. Last week, the 8GB version of the phone went to "temporarily out of stock" in the Google Play Store, and the same thing happened to the 16GB version of the phone today, and then it went even further. The white Nexus 4 of both storage capacities has gone from "temporarily out of stock" to "no longer available for sale" in the Google Play Store...

Guess that they weren't joking when they said it was limited edition.

i used to say, who the ef cares that it doesn't have LTE support... but now that i have LTE coverage in my area it would be really hard to go back plus AT&T makes it a huge hassle to use unlocked devices... i was seriously getting 3-5 mbps... lame

anyways, to make this comment relevant... i would have totally bought this phone if it had LTE lol :P

I agree.. I did buy the N4 recently but it's not near as fast on AT&T as my lumia. Don't get me wrong it's a great phone but there are some things that bug me.. For one I hate when the screen isn't on you don't get near as dark screen and can see circuits or something.. I want a black screen damnit! And when you hit the power button you can see the screen power down with the line meeting in the middle like a tube tv... Just little grips but still annoying.

When I had the AT&T SGS3, I was getting a nice 8-15 mbps down on HSPA+, when I got an unlocked Note 2, they tried to stick me at .22-1 mpbs down. Clamining that their network doesn't support unlocked GSM devices. Yea right, they just try that to get people to stop buying unlocked phones, no other excuse. After calling and complaining about it, they finally "reset my account" and it started doing better, but it was never the same though.

Its an AT&T problem. They do these kinda things..Limiting data usage, putting speed caps on selected connections. They dont get any monetary benefit out of it, but they juz do it to annoy people. You'll have to fight for removing the speed cap.

Don't get it.... It sucks.

You'll need a 2 inch rubber padding to protect that super-brittle glass coating on the back

the only reason i'm getting it because it's a nexus device (it doesn't suck).and a polycarbonate shell case would do just fine.

Dude it doesn't suck and mine came with a very thin protective bumper that works great and still let's you enjoy the nice glass front and back

Google always mess up with their nexus phones....in the past they limited the device to a specific carrier and little to no advertisement for the phone....is amazing!! they're in the AD business.
