how would you describe normal? you get the battery you get out of the box with the phone, you just so happen to get a huge one with the MAXX that actually keeps the phone as thin as all of the handsets compared here. :P

Gotta agree...the Maxx has a massive battery. Only true comparison is testing it other phones with an extended battery similar in size.

They would be on the phone for an entire day with Razr Maxx before the phone even hit 10% haha

Always the Sammy had a overall good battery life. The problem is not the battery itself (because its really good), rather its (S)Amoled screens. When displaying white they consume much more battery than when displaying black. And in browsing that can cause much problems, but thats not the case in the test above.

Galaxy series really sucks when it comes to battery life. The worst thing for battery consumption is Touchwiz UI.

Do you own a Galaxy S3? I think you commented with experience of a Galaxy S, I get 2 days of use with the S3 and 1.5 with the One X. The 4s i use to have was only able to deliver 1 day so go back to your iWorld

you sir are completely oblivious.

The SGS1 can get 1.5-2 days with regular usage.. i know, because thats what I get. And it won its competition back in its time.

the SGS2 got the longest tested battery life of any phone when it came out.. bested basically only by the Razr Maxx's massive battery.

The SGS3 just won the new competition.

So.. where do u get that galaxyS devices have horrible battery life? all 3 of them get better battery than an iphone. so troll somewhere else.

you guys like never use your phones. i never get that kind of battery life with my usage and site testing is inconsistent to your claims as well. i call malarkey.

i also dont run stock. I use my phone quite a bit most of the time, including about 1-1.5 hrs a day of music streaming through GMusic while I'm at the gym, heavy news reading, text,FB, G+, nav, ect. 4.0.4 with intelligent settings for things makes a heck of a battery life.
You can claim malarky, ive already posted pictures though. :) Why would I lie about something so trivial?

the hummingbird when properly optimized is excellent on battery. Same with the exynos. They start at the top of the pile and only get better as you tweak it.

yeah, you know what i think about the pictures. mine says 19m 16s and it's at 100% so see how reliable those are.

my phone has an OMAP4 (which is more power efficient than a Hummingbird) Android 4.0.4, it's at 25% brightness and i have Smart Actions kick in to bring it to 10% and to decrease the Screen Timeout when it reaches 25% and it makes it through the day MAYBE a day and a half if i did less and that's on FB checking throughout the day, Browsing the Web, Spotify Streaming and playing downloaded Playlists, the occasional Instagram shot and other miscellaneous little things. i've used Juice Defender too and without doing things that hinder the phone too much for me it doesn't make much of a difference.

If you're going to throw your opinion against a stack of emperical evidence, you should at least offer an anecdote to prop you up. You post just makes you sound like someone talking out of their aft compartment.

Maybe it's is because the RAZR MAXX as it is sold in Europe, hasn't been launched in UK, or maybe they didn't had it. Anyway, I also consider that the Razr Maxx would outlast any of the tested phones, and maybe even some phones that will be launched in the future. (I speak only about battery performace)
