Which one would you prefer: iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c?

0. phoneArena 11 Sep 2013, 05:57 posted on

Apple unveiled not one, but two new iPhones yesterday - the premium 5s and the plastic 5c, which is designed to be a bit more affordable. Even though there's a small difference in terms of pricing, however, we think most will agree that the difference isn't really that substantial. Without a doubt, many people will soon be facing a merciless dilemma - which new iPhone to get?...

See, they could've KILLED it with the general public with the 5c "if" they had priced it aggressively(which we all know they didn't), particularly in emerging markets around the world. Also would've been a great alternative to their iPod touch line as well, talk about a missed opportunity. With a $549 outright price for 16GB for basically last years specs/performance, I really don't think anybody will be happy about that even potential buyers before the announcement. I think even tho they raised the price a bit on the 5S, that's a little bit better value. Having said all of that, I'm still completely in love with my Launch htc One, even 6 months later.

If anyone picks the iPhone 5c you really don\'t care about smartphones in general and are more turned on by fruity plastic colors and Apple logo than innovation. And then comes the question what\'s so innovative about the iPhone 5s? No one is doing 64bit because it\'s useless with phone apps on a device with 1gig (or even 3gig) of ram. And while a finger print scanner is a wonderful idea you only use it at specific points. You won\'t use it during regular use. It reminds me of the mute or rotation lock switch. Your not going to use it multiple times playing angry birds or browsing the Internet. It a feature that is very good but won\'t be used much.

None cause too expensive and too small screen.
But between two the 5s is the only one that bring little news

Well as a ex iPhone user, I really don\'t see a \'POINT\" to purchase 5S, well probably just ignore the existence of 5C(seriously, I really not sure what is the reason I should get it, price cheap? NO. Cheap plastic feel? YES.). So back to 5S, other than the button, I can\'t find any wow factor, but still that doesn\'t really BIG WOW to us, and lastly the 64-bit processor, well indeed it is impressive but still it does not contribute to daily use factor.....

Well i agree with you and it's can apply those on Samsung Galaxy S4, personally i really don't think they need an Octa core to run the devices, seem over to me, because now a day a lot decent Android device actually can run on Dual core chip but still run very smoothly without need of Quad core chip

Retina display and siri, still apple\'s best innovation. All this other new stuff \"eff\'d\"

Siri? Apples best innovation? They didn't innovate @$#it. They bought a company out so it didn't go on Motorola droids which it was initially intended for.... Apple hasn't "innovated" since the first iPhone. They have just played catch up and marketed it as "remarkable". 5s camera with low light? Please, Lumia devices have way better cameras and take amazing low light shots. 64 bit? Sounds like more fluff to market to zombies. Will the phones sell well? Yeah. Are they remarkable innovative products? NO. they are nothing more than any other smartphone.

Apple doesn't need innovations because they have fanboy and counting on it.as a loyal user, you would even buy iphone made from brick.

There's no 'Other' option. I don't want both.
In India, S4 and XZ are more affordable than 5C (as per announced price).

iphone 5s > any android option

iOS 7 is amazing. i'm happy i'm leaving android. i thought i would wait until the nexus 5 launch, but i'm really confident about the switch. i just have to decide which phone and which carrier.

not joking.

android still lacks refinement and usability. i dont have time or energy to tweak android the way i would like. i want convenience over specs or customization.

plus, everyone i know has an iphone. it just makes life easier to have one too.

good for you man... that's exactly why i switched a year and a half ago.

every one of my friends and business associates have iphones.

i think android is amazing but like you, i dont have the time and patience anymore to root and tweak a phone to fit my needs i want it to perform straight out of the box.

as for this article i'll be holding on to my iPhone 5. no upgrade for me.

Agreed, I don't have time or energy to tweak Android the way I would like either. I set it once and haven't changed a thing since, only took 5 minutes. Now the convenience is there because everything on my N4 is set exactly like I want so it's extremely efficient because I customized my layout a long time ago.
