For a while now, iOS users have had something of a deal for WhatsApp. Whereas on Android, the app was free, but came with a 99 cents per year subscription fee; iOS users had to pay 99 cents for the app, but there was no cost after that. Well, that has changed, and WhatsApp for iOS is moving to a yearly subscription model...

It's not that bad! On android it costs only $0.99 for a year! So speaking honestly, i've never ever purchased an app on play store.. But when my trial period ends, I'll be paying whatsapp on a year module.. Come on! For us in Sri lanka, it costs $1 for 434 messages via phone carrier.. So whatsapp is way more cheaper and the best! Thumbs up for their awesome service!

Seeing as how they're committed to an ad free environment, 99-cents a year is perfectly acceptable.

99c (69p for us in the UK) a year is more than fair in my opinion.
But for those who already bought the app, does that count towards one years purchase??
