“We’re the ones getting the calls from customers.” - BB CEO John Chen retaliates against another “ditch your BlackBerry” offer

0. phoneArena 28 Feb 2014, 05:30 posted on

Not long after he made T-Mobile amend a BB-discriminating promotion, Chen once again stood up to secure his company's image. This time, it's Good Technology's good-lookin' CEO, Christy Wyatt, that grinds his gears. In January, the enterprise mobility firm began to offer free-with-a-catch migration to its software suite to BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) users...

he's definitely a stronger, tougher CEO than Heins was. Heins wasn't bad, but Chen is definitely doing a better job.

@fouadqr, the only thing "dead" around here is your troll-ish talk of BlackBerry being dead. No one cares about the crap you spew. Begone troll.

Dare I ask...

Had this man been CEO for the last 2 years, how much farther along would BB be? I didn't think Thorsten Heins did a bad job mopping up the mess left him and I actually respect the job he did getting things ironed out, but this guy just seems like success just got let out of the bottle. Here is hoping, because the Mobile world is better with a competitive BB then without it.

Truth be told.

It's good to have BB around, it's another choice.

Having Blackberry rebound, on their own, is going to be a leap, but it isn't impossible.

On the flip side of the coin, you get Motorola and Nokia, who were the two largest original inventors and innovators in this industry, about to be evaporated. Lenovo will whore out the Moto name on cheap entry-level devices (it's the Chinese M.O., sorry to say) while the Nokia name will more than likely die off on handsets (even if not, it won't be Nokia anymore). No matter how you spin it, Motorola and Nokia are no longer the original companies, no longer a U.S.company and Finland company respectively.

No, you're trolling. The current situation of BlackBerry is that the company is being turned around by John Chen and the new management team. Their stock is up. They have new and exciting products and services. You would do well to read up on this. Now begone, troll.

Still trolling apiskula? Still haven't tried a BB 10 phone, I bet. Yet, you seem to have no idea what you're talking about. I have heard a philosopher state something that pertains to most of your commentary. And that is...

Apiskula, you troll on each and every BlackBerry article that phone arena puts out. Don't you have something better to do with your time? Have you ever even used a BB10 handset before? I highly doubt it. You probably sit at home all day just salivating at the chance to troll on a BlackBerry article. Get a life, dude.

I think that in the end Blackberry becomes software for another company, but, hey, if they can keep it going, then that is always a good thing. However, they really only have a shot at increasing sales in the enterprise sector, unless, they can show average customers that their phones are easier to use than the competition's....

Enya can't you fools see Blackberry is dead. No carriers even sell the devices in store because nobody wants them and you have to order them online. There are far much superior phones on the market than Blackberry. I do not know a single person the owns or requests a Blackberry. They will be dead within the next year

BlackBerry will be alive and well next year. What will be dead, hopefully, is one: your asinine posts about BlackBerry that lack any facts whatsoever, and two: your illiteracy! My GOD boy, your spelling is horrendous! You should be EMBARRASSED to post anything on a public forum and you can't spell!
