Google+ has been sticking around for a while now, and despite what the mainstream says, it's actually reaped substantial success and is now the second-largest social networking platform in the world. Having surpassed Twitter at the beginning of this year, it now boasts over 500 535 million registered users, of which over 235 300 million are active at any one time. With this in mind, it'll be interesting to see what Google has in store during its Google+ event, set to take place just minutes from now. What's more, there is some speculation that we could even see something as major as the Nexus 5 unveiling take place today, but don't go quoting us on this particular bit.
