Watch live TV on your iOS or Android device using the updated Comcast Xfinity Go app
That means that you don't have to be lounging on your couch to be a couch potato. You can be sitting on the potty, watching Cramer give out his stock tips on CNBC live. And all you need to do is download (or update) the current app and authenticate your status as an Xfinity subscriber. Besides CNBC, you can watch FOX News, CNN, FOX Business, FOX Sports 1, NBC Sports Network, BBC World News, the Golf Channel and a number of National Geographical channels.
To get to the live streaming shows, click on the hamburger menu from the main screen and from the slide-out menu, click on live. If you are planning on being somewhere without a Wi-Fi connection, you can download programming for playback offline.

2 Things to note. You need to be on Wifi to stream, but you can download to watch w/o connectivity! That's huge for plane rides etc.

Only live TV? Does it allow you to watch past episodes and seasons?

I believe there is a second app, or maybe a part of this one, to access Comcast's On Demand programming.
I could be wrong though,

"You need to have a Wi-Fi connection to use the live television feature."
I just tried it without a Wi-Fi connection after downloading the app yesterday and it works fine for me.
