The GNex's Ti Omap won't keep up with what the S3 has, but after using a GNex for a couple of weeks now, it's a great phone and speed doesn't seem to be an issue for anything I throw at it. If SS would have released a Nexus with the S3 stats, I'd have bought one though.

Still loving my nexus more than GS3

Jelly Bean is ultra smooth on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus. I can't imagine what Jelly Bean will look like with that awesome quad-core the Samsung Galaxy S III is packing.
Form this video it shows you how wonderful Jelly bean is with a more powerful CPU & GPU. I have said this before, I can't WAIT for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 but, but, but, I really have enjoyed my time with the Samsung Galaxy Nexus so much that I am now getting really intrigued on what or how the new Nexus will be like.
I have REALLY been spoiled with the type of support the Samsung Galaxy Nexus has. It's CLEARLY the most developer supported phone EVER. There are TONS & TONS of ROMS, themes, customizations & everything under the sun, that it might make it really hard to leave the Nexus line. I have never been so happy with a phone like I am with my GNex that I am seriously looking into what the new Nexus will be like.
If Android Jelly Bean is this much better than Ice Cream Sandwich, I really want to see what Google has under its sleeve with their NEW NEXUS. Imagine the new S4 Krait quad-core with the Adreno 320 @ 1.6GHz or higher? That new chip is the best in benchmarks already besting the Samsung Galaxy S III's quad-core. Just imagine.

I honestly don't think I will ever buy a non-Nexus device again. I don't even care that Verizon has shafted me on OTA updates, the fact that I had Jelly Bean less than 24 hours after it was announced has converted me.

After playing with the wife's nexus7 extensively, I have the same feelings. I think I'm going to wait to see what the next nexus brings before making up a buying decision. Quad core + JB is so frikkin smooth at everything. The T3 is about the same level as the S4 for most things, which means its nowhere near the HP of the Exynos, but it still runs better than any phone ive seen, including the precious iphone.

Dude, not to start no competition but there is no doubt in my mind that a Quad core S4 will run laps around an Exynos quad...

I know what you mean. I just am glad to have the best coverage, in both 3G & 4G LTE. That is why I pay Verizon. Now ROMS & updates are all on me & I am fine with that. I would hate it if I had to wait for Verizon to give me an update.
With a Nexus phone it's on me & I have the power to put any ROM I like. That is the beauty of the Nexus line & it really now has become hard to even think about leaving it. Even if it's for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

There will not be much difference b-c it's 60 fps anywhere. You can see the difference only with heavy tasks that may cause some lag on GN but not GS3.

uhm, if you flash CM10 into the S III, is the camera software still retained? The lagless, HDR, burst shot and all that?
14. remixfa posted on 23 Jul 2012, 14:08 0 0
no, a cyanogen mod is a modified stock interface. It retains next to nothing from the manufacturer. Good with the bad. Id love to find an AOSP rom that keeps the manufacturer's camera software,as its normally better.. but they are far and few between.

CM9 on Note camera is very similar to Stock ICS. Yes its laid out different but all the similar features.
Getting CM10 on my Note will be sweet.

Because CyanogenMod reverts it to a stock version you unfortunately lose all the manufacturer apps and enhancements.
However there are some workaround to manually install these things. It depends if the manufacturer and carrier has made them available or not.
For example on my GS3 I went and re-installed a package with TouchWiz on it, so it included Samsung's interface changes. However I luckily don't have all the bloatware that Sprint tried to put on there like Nascar.
