President Barack Obama gave a shout out to Apple and its CEO Tim Cook during Tuesday night's State of the Union address and while there could be a number of reasons for the president to mention Apple, it was the decision of the Cupertino based firm to return some production to the U.S. that motivated the president to mention the company...

Im not sure what they have personally done to you? But they havent hurt me or my loved ones so I have so reason to hate them. I mean sure they've made so dumb decision but in a world where there is so much hate. I cant justify hate a company that patens everything and sues other multibillion dollar companies. Your reasons for hating are ignorant. Your reasons of hating a company that has done no harm to you just makes me think how fragile and weak your tolerance is for this world we live.

Exactly. I can't wait til Motorola makes the next nexus. Then I can buy it without having any negative feelings whatsoever. Go Google and Motorola! And Microsoft and Nokia (close enough)!

I think its a really selfish talk to a president to buy from American company no other companies from all over the world if they are better then that apphell.

Mr. President forgot; Google is also an American company who owns about half profits of all smartphones and tablets devices because of King Android.

There is no place for apphell and their iSh*t devices anymore. everyone can create anything what they want, this is us to choose witch one is the best. Now we prefer to use Android devices from that iSh*t things.

Ill criticize Obama all day long. His support is sharply falling friend. He's spent 6 trillion dollars in 4 years to "reboot" the economy only for us to be back im a Recession, and our unemployment is still at the same level it was 4 years ago. Meanwhile the average U.S. household earns $2,000 less than it did 4 years ago and expenses on the rise. All the means when while my taxes went up (and im considered lower class), and he approved a pay raise for congress.. So don't tell me not to criticize the worst President we've had in my 26 years of life.

Obama isn't that great but nobody will take you seriously if you say he's worse than Bush. Seriously don't kid yourself.

Let's look at the numbers..

Bush created less than $5 Trillion in debt which is awful.

Meanwhile Obama created more than 6 trillion in debt in half the time.

Bush cut taxes

Obama raised taxes

Average household earned $48,000 under Bush

Average Household earns $46,000 under Obama

Obama proposes minimum wage increases to $9.00/hr which will crush many companies not to mention set back those college students who earned their degrees to get better paying jobs.

Don't be fooled. Bush was horrible but Obama has bankrupted us far too much.

By the way the numbers I got were attributed by MSNBC which is very liberal ;-)

I really hate to get political on a tech site, but your widely ignorant and one-sided argument has me baffled. You are aware that Congress can not (and with the Republicans, will not) agree on many issues that could have been addressed and solved with the President's ideas? Healthcare reform, ending the Bush tax cuts, budget overhauls...all shot down in Congress because they don't fit the Republican agenda.

The GOP has made it their mission to stifle Obama's impact on the country, since he's not THEIR President. He is America's President, like it or not. And as for support, I'd say he still has plenty of it. He did get re-elected, after all.

That's all I really have to say. I expect thumbs down and/or a rebuttal, but if you can criticize Obama all day long, I'll support Obama all day long.

Do you already forget that Obama too pushed to extend the Bush era tax cuts?

As for congress do you not realize the Democrats control the Senate? Obamacare which is widely unpopular will take affect next January. I can't afford Obamacare and yet if I don't buy into it, ill be fined! How ridiculous.

As for popularity that can go both ways. Bush afterall got re-elected friend.

I like a good debate, keep em coming.

Does it really matter the hole system is corrupt in one way or another most polititions are either in the pocket of some company or have there own private agenda wich only benefits him/herself.
