RIM is holding its annual shareholder event today, and the stakes for the management are higher than ever. Will it split into pieces, embrace Windows Phone, speed up the development of BlackBerry 10, or will it just shop itself to the highest bidder...

Why do you guys (above) have to be so negative; I fully support RIM's endeavors of complete and utter mismanagement. They will probably present a PowerPoint on how great Blackberry 12 will be; never mind that, maybe only a few handful will watch (probably the same few who watched the new Charlie's Angels last year on ABC) but, I digress, it still merits public support, nonetheless.

RIM's story is one of hubris and inaction, like GM of the 70's
As much as I don't like seeing anyone fail to this degree, this is a necessary lesson for every other company out there who treats consumers as brain-dead sheep that only buy things because of the name instead of what it is. Even Apple, who is the undisputed heavyweight in the market, is updating their products to compete more effectively with Android. We need the tale of RIM to keep executives up at night and engineers employeed.

i dont think going to WP8 is a good choice... i say speed up the development or sell itself to amazon...sorry, but i really think letting amazon buy RIM is a good choice!
