This clearly proves that BB is losing smartphone market. Now i can say confidently that Android is becoming a new smartphone king.

The following are facts about android. Android is gain huge share in "third world nations" or less developed countries. In the US, consumers are buying low end or cheap no contract android devices for as little as $99 to $129. Given the low cost and crude construction, it's no surprise android is the dominating OS smartphone among the poor or economic challenge in the US.
It's no surprise that android is the poor man's smartphone. I have a $300 Motorola Triumph and it's clearly not worth $300. Today, for the same $300, I could buy a nice slightly used top of the line android device. The used market is just flooded with android devices.

Typical ixS33p bu11sh1t.!!!
Android is leading in less developed country because with android you don't need credit card to use the smartphone. (Contrary to apple that you need credit card).
In less developed country and also in Europe people also choose android because it's represent openness (unlike apple, see the ibook fiasco that apple refusing to allow to link to amazon). Not everyone like the way apple conduct their business.
In less developed country and also in Europe people also choose android because they believe it's BETTER than iphone in some degree.
In less developed country and also in Europe people also choose android because they like customization, freedom, and don't want to be tied with apple ecosystem.
Some ixSh33p believe apple give the best ecosystem, but android user believe with lots of choice they have better offer, and also it support innovation.
Imagine if all user were ixSh33p, then with apple way of only allowing several things according to them, some good idea will die.... au contrary, with android, those product will compete, and user will triumph.

I am sorry if FACTS offend you but android is the poor man's smartphone partly due to the fact that the android OS is free.
Also, if you read my post, I never mentioned Apple nor iOS. You JUMPED to that conclusion all by yourself.
And yes, Walmart is selling brand new, no-contract android smartphone devices at $99 in the US. This is also a FACT because the "carriers" are marketing the android device to economically challenged shoppers based on Walmart's target customer demographics.

You didn't need to write it out, but everyone with half brain know you meant iOS is supperior to android.
Unlike iOS, android is the toyota/VW/Honda of smartphone OS industry. They try to concure from top to bottom. iOS is like ferrari/porche/lamborgini. They don't care about poor people.
Right now, it might seems that apple way is working better than android, but when saturation in smartphone is reach, and this will lead to a better innovation in android, iOS will go down.
i know is useless talking to capitalist like you. you need to be european or asian to understand this. most american were live in fairy tale.

If it was this price a couple months ago, I would have gotten it instead of the iPhone. The 9900 is a really nice looking phone.

BB is not real smartphone
it's a rental featurephone.
rental = because it's need BIS (Blackberry internet services)
featurephone = because it's not really smart.
and by rental it means that if RIM dies, and BIS gone, the phone will be dumb phone.... UNLIKE android, symbian, WP7, palm, WebOS, iOS.
So, it's not smart to buy BB.
