Walmart chops Palm Pre down to $79.99

Just the other day, we asked you what was better than paying $149.99 for the Palm Pre. The answer, of course, was paying $99.99 for the device at Amazon. Tonight, we ask you, what is better than paying $99.99 for the Palm Pre? Why, paying $79.99 for the phone, of course! Walmart is offering the Pre for $179.99 and after a $100 mail-in rebate, that works out to an all-time low of $79.99. Of course, you need to sign the traditional 2 year contract. The new price point from Walmart begs the question: Can the price of the Pre go lower?
