Vodafone's Google Nexus One is finally getting its Gingerbread update
Well, good news for them because they’re finally seeing that highly anticipated Gingerbread update being pushed out via an over-the-air process. Of course, owners should start receiving that timely notification to bring the handset up to Android 2.3.4, but if not, they can always check for it manually under the Android settings menu. Naturally, these Vodafone Nexus One owners can now experience all of the goodies that come along with Gingerbread – like its updated interface, keyboard, SIP calling, and much more.
Again, it goes to show that there is still some love being given to the aging handset, but as we’ve learned throughout its life, you can’t keep a good handset out of the loop.

Isn't that typical.. I waited over 6 months, checking many times daily for the promised update, until a week ago when a Google search turned up an easy solution for me and I updated manually to 2.3.4 (the latter step was OTA)
Regardless of the method, I find 2.3.4 to be just that touch faster, particularly when navigating the Market :)
