Vodafone still interested in selling its Verizon Wireless holdings

Back in April, there was speculation that Vodafone was going to sell its 45% stake in Verizon Wireless to Verizon Communications; according to the rumor, Vodafone would receive $100 billion for its holdings. For Verizon, it is a way for the parent company to retain every penny of the massive cash flow that the largest mobile carrier in the U.S. generates...

softbank paid $20 billion for 70 percent of sprint. but 45 percent of verizonwiress is worth $100 billion. that is a big difference.

First of all Verizon is twice as big as Sprint in terms of customers but the only reason Softbank got a portion of Sprint so cheap is because of their debt load. Their market cap is affected by their debt which affects their stock price.

In reality, Sprint is worth much more than that.
