Vodafone offers offbeat charger in Tanzania for those with no electricity

There are actually tens of millions of cellphone users in sub-Saharan Africa that can't use their phones because of the lack of electricity to charge them; while $10 billion a year is spent by those "off-grid" to charge their phone, Vodafone is giving those in Tanzania a charger that uses a bicycle dynamo or solar energy to recharge a handset...
