Vodafone UK sells 100,000 iPhones after a week

Vodafone UK just recently started offering the Apple iPhone and has been on a streak since it was made available last week. Over 100,000 units have been sold so far – showing what kind of staying power the iPhone still packs among consumers. Guy Laurence, Vodafone UK CEO, stated “The demand from both consumer and business customer has been phenomenal. They want an outstanding phone on an outstanding network and we’re delivering that.”  With Apple’s announcement less than a week away, we’ll see how many more units Vodafone can crank out before news of a possible next generation handset hit the waves. Just reaching the 100,000 mark in such a short amount of time really goes to show how Apple’s venerable smartphone is still coveted among people all over the world.
