Vlingo drops the price of its app to free due to Google's competition

Im not sure why anyone would even to compete with the stock google apps, especialy the voice apps, they work flawless, and beyond on my Droid Inc. Then to add a charge on top, seems lie they wouldnt sell verry many. Unless most of the sales went to people who werent aware they had the capability to begin with, I see that happen all the time.

I don't understand why they even started charging. Vlingo used to be free for the BlackBerry.

I have a galaxy s. The thing is, Vlingo has better voice recognition compared to google voice in my experience. I knew nothing about Vlingo at first but the built in google voice app on my galaxy s depressed me so much that I began looking for an alternative and found vlingo.
