I am eyeing carefully ViewPad 7x, since I am after a solid, sub-8", sub-$350 tablet with good specs and great build quality, and for all previous accounts it looked like it could be the one, but the rumored price tag is too steep.

I hope tablet manufacturers finally realize that slapping together one underpowered SOC processor with small LCD touchscreen, small battery, small memory and some other cheap silicon to round it all up just CANNOT be priced equally to mainstream notebook, or much higher than top-end netbook. It just costs much less to manufacture and is unfair to consumers!

If the rumored price is correct, I will pass on it, unfortunately.
