Video speed test compares all Apple iPhone models
It seems hard to believe, but next January 9th will be the ten-year anniversary of the unveiling of the Apple iPhone. Think about all of the changes that have taken place in the industry over that decade. There certainly was a lot to look forward to on that day when the late Steve Jobs showed off what would in due time become Apple's most important product.

Soon, the industry would see App Stores, faster processors, front-facing cameras, larger screens, longer-lasting batteries, 3D screens, waterproof units and more. Smartphone saturation has reached ridiculous levels in the U.S. and last quarter, Apple announced the first ever quarterly year-over-year decline in iPhone sales.

One cool way to see how the iPhone has progressed over the years is to click on the video below. It is a speed test comprising every iPhone model released, including the new Apple iPhone SE. The video, made by EverythingApplePro, showed that for the most part, the later models outperformed the older handsets. For example, the iPhone SE booted up first followed by the Apple iPhone 6s Plus and the Apple iPhone 6s. Fourth was the Apple iPhone 6 followed by the Apple iPhone 6 Plus. Surprisingly, the OG Apple iPhone was seventh. The Apple iPhone 4s was last.

GeekBench testing revealed that the Apple iPhone SE is the most powerful of the lot with a single-core score of 2550 and a multi-core tally of 4445. Those scores edged out the iPhone 6s Plus and iPhone 6s. Every unit from the Apple iPhone 4s on scored a 419 on the HTML5 browser test. From the Apple iPhone 5 and up, the camera app all opened at the same time.

A sound test showed that the iPhone SE had the loudest speakers while the iPhone 4s sported the lowest. The Apple iPhone 6 Plus and Apple iPhone 6 ran the warmest at 107.7 degrees fahrenheit and 107.4 degrees, respectively.

If anything, the test certainly is a great advertisement for the 4-inch Apple iPhone SE. Check out ten years (13 devices) of iPhone handsets by clicking on the video below.
