Video render of the Apple iPhone 5C shows off the colorful side to the budget iPhone

A video render of the Apple iPhone 5C reveals what the combination of colorful iPhone and iOS 7 might look like. With a plastic shell and specs expected to be shy of what the Apple iPhone 5S will offer, the iPhone 5C is expected to be offered to emerging markets as a way to grab some business from low priced Windows Phone and Android models. There is also talk that the Apple iPhone 5C will be offered in the states at a price of $99.99 on contract.

If everything goes as expected, the Apple iPhone 5S will replace the current Apple iPhone 5 as the alpha Apple iPhone. The current model becomes the mid-range offering, and the Apple iPhone 5C becomes the low-end unit. Apple is in for a rude awakening though, if it thinks that a $300 to $400 phone will take sales away from a model like the Nokia Lumia 520 which is priced under $175 off contract. And there is now talk of a Amazon smartphone that would be free off contract. Amazon would make money by selling  content, apps and cloud based storage.

The Apple iPhone 5C and the Apple iPhone 5S are both expected to be unveiled this coming Tuesday.
