The South Korean company Iljin Display raised hopes that projector-embedded phones may be seen on the market sooner rather than later. The company has demonstrated prototypes of mini-sized video projectors, designed to be built in portable devices, including mobile phones. Using the company's Single LCD Panel technology, these projectors are capable of projecting a 7-inch full-color photo or a video image on the wall. Iljin Display has already made a deal with Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics back in December last year and expects that projector-embedded handsets will be released on the market as soon as next April. The company also predicts that by the year 2010 about five percent of all mobile phones will have video projectors embedded in them and they hope to have at least 30 percent share of this market.
