Video calling is improved after update to Skype for BlackBerry 10
For those who are unfamiliar with Skype, the app allows users to make free Skype to Skype calls, video chats and text messages. And it all works regardless if the person on the other end of the connection is sporting an Android, iOS, BlackBerry, or Windows flavored mobile device, or a Windows or Mac PC.
The updated version of Skype for BlackBerry is now in BlackBerry World, just waiting for you to install it.

Because Microsoft Windows & Microsoft Skype are different division of Microsoft.
We know BlackBerry phones are widely used by company/offices Microsoft benefits on that because Skype is also widely used by company/offices for video conferences.
Probably BlackBerry already working on BBM for Windows Phone.?

MS doesn't punish their customers by denying them their services. They understands that some people may use their services, but choose not to use their devices.

This is why MS is one of my fav companies. Even though Google & BB don't seem to care about WP, MS provides their apps on the rival platforms(BB10 & Android) and update them regularly regardless of the market position. This is a sign of a great company.
