Version 1.7 of the Bolt browser promises to support widgets
Always continuing to position itself to be one of the premier web browsers available to BlackBerry owners, the next installment of the Bolt Browser pledges support for widgets. Bitstream announced that version 1.7 of its Bolt mobile browser will add the ability to run widgets – which will be accessed within the browser via a new widget menu. Already supporting Ajax, Javascript, and other web-based languages, Bitstream’s widgets are written in standard W3C code. Users won’t have to wait too long to get their hands on the latest version of the mobile browser – it’s expected to become available February 15; let’s call it a nice belated Valentine’s gift to yourself. Bolt users can continually expect to see some improvements as it continues to build momentum as being one of the top contenders in the mobile browsing market.
