Verizon's Touch Pro2 faces the papparazzi again
The HTC Touch Pro2 is making its' U.S. debut today at T-Mobile. A reminder that other carriers will be offering the device comes from some more pictures of the handset wearing the Verizon brand. As it turns out, the top four U.S. carriers (Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile) will be each offering their own version of the highly anticipated unit. By the way, note the comparison in screen size and appearance between Big Red's Touch Pro2 and the pin dropping network's version of the Touch Pro. Next Touch Pro2 launch, Sprint on September 3rd.

I'm actually more impressed they didn't do somethign stupid with the spacebar/arrow keys placement like the original TP. It does look GOOD. A full 5 row, with the tilting display...I want

Am I reading the RAM correctly?? 256 instead of 288!! Some things never change. Way to go Verizon, making me proud to be your customer.....but hey, I have the network. LOL!!!!!!!!!

It could be that 32MB gets reserved for the GPU, and therefore is removed from the listed available RAM, similar to an integrated GPU on a motherboard. Not sure, but good eye catching that one.

Remember, the unlocked GSM Touch Pro2 also showed 256 until HTC issued a hotfix not to long ago to correct it.

I heard the battery life is sweet at some 6-8 hours of talk time. Combine that with an extended battery from seidio, that they will inevitably put out that fits in the same size slot, and you really have a winner. Bravo HTC I don't particularly need a 5MP camera, the 3.2 shoots some awesome pics. But the flash is now gone... Bye bye hTorch flashlight mod :(

the flash not being on this phone is my biggest let down, hope the vibration is strong.
