vcast is not internet service #20, vcast is a streaming video service offered by vzw. one of the benefits of it tho is internet access for dumbphones, so they can stream as many videos they want without inccuring additonal data chargers. however, all smartphones can got to the mobile vcast sight to watch STREAMING VIDEOS like vcast was developed to do. so stfu and go pound the neighbors dog u dick chin. thank you and have a nice day

Heck, I work for verizon and didn't know about the m.vcast.com...lol....but that is pretty cool

I chose the Storm because of the capacitive screen vs. the resistive screen of the Omnia.
18. (unregistered) posted on 25 Nov 2008, 09:02 0 0
why? the storm is basically resistive as well since you have to click to select anything, and capacitive just means that you cant use the phone if you have gloves on. maybe your in the south where that isnt a big deal, but its not like there is multitouch or an advantage to the storms screen

there is a huge difference bwtween my gay voyager screen and the storms. the storms is a lot more respensive and i would rather click than feel a vibration.... lg voyager

Checked with verizon---they called HTC---the phone has 288 ram
22. (unregistered) posted on 25 Nov 2008, 09:36 0 0
UMM.... NO! the touch pro has 128-192 mb of ram, per vzws website, and htcs website... nice try... vzw is still crippling phones... sprints tp and atts fuze both have 288 mb of ram... so in essence, vzw, according to THEIR numbers, can have less than half of the ram as their competitors... all for $50.00 more... the phone does have touchflo 3d... but i dont want to see it with that little ram... and htc makes better smartphones than samsung, but the omnia looks like a good phone...

touch pro has 192 mb of ram. not 128. get it right jerk
35. (unregistered) posted on 25 Nov 2008, 12:14 0 0
i said between 128 and 192.... per vzws website... im citing where i got the info from... phonearena has it at 192, but vzws website has it at 128... you might want to check your drug dealers website, cuz your obviously hooked on vzw... so dont be angry JERK! regardless of 128, or 192... thats still LESS than sprint and at&ts... plus $50.00 more, WHY???? and before you fanboys start saying "what good is a phone if you dont have the network?", stop... all carriers are good in major cities... "what good is a phone if it keeps crashing on you?"

hey any of u guys bitchin bout the slower processors? u know u can overclock them, my boy took a 6700 and clocked it at 700 somethin for the ram. its just a third party program that u can get and actually turn the processor speed DOWN or UP. so buh bye....noobs. u guys are just morons that take ur phone out the box and use what they gave u inside. u dont even bother lookin on teh internet for programs (which thousands exist) to do all sorts of cool shit on ur phone. hell my phone put an iPhone interface skin on the same 6700 and it worked exactly like an iPhone but running WinMo

Your boy is a tech saavy little bitch. It's not like business people have the time to sit down and figure out that crap. It should be taken care of before we buy it. How old is your "boy" anyway? It sounds like you are only 14 yourself with the way you write.
128. (unregistered) posted on 29 Nov 2008, 18:12 0 0
thats nice... a lot of people know that you could overclock the processor... IF it can handle the speed... so you overclock your processor, and i overclock my sprint processor... guess what... 125% increase to both processors still makes mine faster... so your phone has a faster processor than stock vzw tp... but you cant overclock ram... ram is set... and i doubt your boy upgraded that...because you cant... its physically impossible... nice try... keep calling people morons, because no program is going to increase the ram difference, which is what people are talking about...

I spoke with a VZW rep, he implied (fairly strongly) that the price for the OMNIA will drop once it is in stores. I spoke w/ him on Friday, and he said to wait about a week and the price "might" come down. Just a little FYI for my fellow gadget fiends

Doest the VZW Touch Pro have an accelerometer? I have heard conflicting reports on this.
