Not eben sure what your saying, you sound like as choppy as you probably are on your iPhone. So a tablet doesnt have Skype and your making a big stink over it? Verizons Skype worked over 3G? did you want a 3G data plan or did you want the freedome of owning it with out a contract? If you go on the market there will be FOR SURE a WiFi Skype available for you to use...SO STOP CRYING!!!! Not to mention At&T Crippled their Androids by not "allowing" 3rd party apps or unknown apps, who has the monopoly now you freaking moron.

NOT TO MENTION, if you get the 3G wifi hotspot it will work with that as Wifi functionality any, so complaints OVER!

Here is answer to problem. Root your android device. Download wifi tether root app from market place. Wifi tablet to phone. Click Skype. Make call. Answer solved. No additional cost to you!! :-) I use to work for Verizon until recently and this is what I am going to do with my tablet and android device. The root is already completed. Just waiting on the tablet. They really don't want customers knowing about this work around but oh well ;)
