Verizon's Motorola Moto X gets updated to Android 4.4.2
On Thursday, we told you that Motorola was conducting a soak test for the Android 4.4.2 update on Verizon's Motorola Moto X. Despite that bit of news, it seems that Motorola is impatient and has started rolling out the update on Friday. According to Verizon, the update will include improved performance of the phone dialer, improved synchronization of email attachments, and enhanced security for the phone.

Other changes include improved battery life, which is something to cheer about, improved roaming connectivity, enhancements to Isis Mobile Wallet, and the latest versions of VZ Tones and VZ Navigator. The update brings to the Verizon Motorola Moto X, the latest build of Android putting it on par with the Google Play edition phones, the Nexus devices, some versions of the HTC One and the Moto X on other carriers.

Since the update is being sent out OTA, don't worry if it doesn't arrive today. These updates are sent out on a staggered basis, so it might be a few days before it hits your Moto X. You can try to coax it out of your handset by going to Settings > About phone and check for updates.
