Verizon's DROID ERIS down to $30 at Walmart
Prices of some of the most highly anticipated smartphones are plummeting just days before the official start of the holiday shopping season. For example, Walmart has cut the price of the Verizon DROID ERIS to $30 after a $149.99 Instant Discount and a signed two year pact. The Android powered handset was launched by Big Red on November 6th at a price of $99.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and a signed two year contract. So if you want some Android lovin' at a very reasonable price, or if you plan on giving away some Android action as a holiday gift, when you are shopping for new undies or horse chow, stop by the electronics department and take advantage of Walmart's largess.

that is a really good deal! some mommies and daddies will make their wallets and kids happy with the good deals VZW dealers have been pumping out with their droid phones

The price is great and all... But I'd really like to see AT&T or Verizon come up with a family data plan... Data Plan x1 is $30, x2 is $60, x3 is $90... Come on we all would love to have smart phones.. But seriously... $90 to $120 just so a family of 3 or 4 can have smart phones with data... Sheesh I think I will just give my kid a MeGo and she better be happy... She can use the internet at home....

yeah i agree completely...im sure that something like this isnt too far away...generations using smartphones is getting younger and younger so it only makes sense to start a plan like this. before it used to be only the business man in the family who had a smartphone. verizon and ATT would have to rely on volume for their profits, however i think it will end up more fruitful for everyone this way

That is exactly the point. Why would you buy your kid a phone that would require a data plan...def. not somethin I would do. But I'm sure you have those parents out there thinking that buyin their 11 yr. old a Blackberry Storm 2 is their way of "relatin" to their kids and bein hip. How stupid...

take that iphone craze no match for Verizon phones price and iphone ads insulted Verizon services. Verizon must stop dealing with iphone and do not carry iphone when it is available in 2010. Verizon must take the iphone ads very serious and do not deal with your enemy iph'ck.

LOL. I'm with the Geico Caveman on hating the iPhone, though. Waaaaaaaaaay overrated. Need to thank Walmart as well for helping to put independent dealers out of business.
