Verizon's BlackBerry Storm2 officially sees OS 5.0.0.607 update
Verizon BlackBerry Storm2 9550 owners are getting a late night surprise with an official release for OS 5.0.0.607. Downloading it should be a breeze seeing that users can get it via the Wireless Update method through the options menu on the phone – that's unless you're not running an official Verizon OS. In that event, you'll have to downgrade to an official Verizon OS first before taking the plunge with the latest version of the platform. In addition, owners can get the OS update through Verizon's Software Downloads page so all you have to do afterwards is to use the BlackBerry Desktop Manager to get it installed. From the sounds of it, some users are experiencing issues with the keyboard not appearing with BlackBerry Messenger Groups – which is a major problem for some. Aside from that, users can expect to experience a quicker web browser, some extra free space, and some enhancements to the virtual keyboard. So if you're not too big on using the BBM Groups, you can go ahead and check out this update.
