Verizon updates DROIDDOES web site adding 3D images and shots from your webcam
Not that anyone needed to be reminded that the Motorola DROID X was launched today by Verizon, but just in case, the carrier updated its DROIDDOES web site. The newly upgraded site features loads of flash animation and proclaims that it is a 3-D web environment. To the right of the viewer, you should click on "Activate Full-Motion Tracking 3D". Allow the site to have access to your webcam and you when you enter DROIDSPACE, the images on the screen will follow you. Move to the left, and the image follows likewise, in 3D. Move to the right, and ditto. And, while you get to be entertained, you are also interacting with a clever ad pitch for the trio of DROID phones (Original DROID, Droid Incredible and DROID X) offered by Verizon.

My girlfriend is getting the incredible (when it ships to her that is haha) and I am getting my Droid X tomorrow in the mail, I can't wait to see how they compare. Both excellent phones in my opinion.

FOr a Verizon customer, either phone is a great deal...but, if you do not want to wait until AUGUST buy the X. I hate stupid corporate websites like the one shown....you'd find more interesting stiff to do at the MARKETPLACE.

I hate to break it to your girlfriend Malaki, but your phone is going to be much better than hers...both my father and I owned the HTC incredible, and the battery life is ATROCIOUS, I dont care what other HTC incredible owners out there want to argue, I tried every which way about it (and I am very tech savvy) the battery life is poor compared to any smartphone. *My BB Storm has better battery life* He called me today from his Droid X and said it was already better than the incredible...(he is tech savvy as well...wonder where I got it). Either way, I am going to try his Droid X out and one at best buy, but I think I will be waiting for the Fascinate (probably longer than I want to from the looks of things) as all the reviews point to the hummingbird processor not only being more powerful (graphically) but also better at managing power, coupled with the Super AMOLED screen...its a no brainer.

Yea I heard a lot about the battery life between the two, but she is getting it because she thinks it's "cuter". haha. And yea the Fascinate looks sweet, but I am only doing the one year contract so I think that the X will be top of the line enough for me for ten months before I'm due for an upgrade.

Why aren't there any news about T-Mobile's debut of Samsung Vibrant, lol

Because it's T-Mobile haha. Less coverage and less 3G than Verizon etc etc.
