Verizon announced today that it will update the Motorola DROID 2 Global and the Motorola DROID Pro with the Gingerbread build of the Android OS; just to clarify the announcement, the pair of phones will receive Android 2.3, not the new Ice Cream Sandwich build...

I already have this update, when I saw the title I thought it was a secondary update to fix whatever bugs were known, but if I read this right this for people who have not updated to GB?

No, the first sentence suggests that all the D2G and DPro are just getting Gingerbread now which is not the case. I've had the official OTA update for more than a month now on my D2G and have even received a minor update in that time period. This is either another small update or some really bad info is going around the blogsphere.

Yeah maybe the actually jump from froyo to GB. But I am having trouble with my wifi ever since, it fluxuates and loads video content slow, than fast, same goes for the web pages. Thought there might've been a fix. Verizon rep. told me he has had reports of wifi problems when they first started rolling them out, then the pull, than again sending the OTA.
