Verizon wants to fill a gap in the Android ecosystem and offer a gaming social network for the platform, and with that in mind, the carrier is planning to start preloading Android devices with Playphone's "Games Portal", which is a combination app store and gaming social network...

As long as its something I can remove then great BUT knowing Verizon they will block your ability to hide just like they did with the Thunderbolt. Verizon when will you realize that no one wants your crappy apps seeing as they never work properly.

Awesome! Moar bloatware please!
Verizon, while you are at it, why don't you rewrite the Android OS yourselves?

Yep, bloatware is the single greatest complaint I have with VZW. Once, they sent me a customer satisfaction survey.... Guess which item I mentioned as the worst part of their service? Haven't received another customer satisfaction survey since that response.

Ok, am I missing something? Game Center on iOS isn't considered bloat, but this is?
Cuz I hear many pro Apple, iPhone, iOS folks say the iPhone has no bloat ware.

I am neither pro nor anti Apple and I will tell you this: you are missing something. Game Center is 'made' by Apple. When you understand what bloatware is, you will know that Game Center is not bloatware.
Sprint ID, Verizon Playphone, HP Media Center == bloatware.
Gmail, Safari, Xbox Live != bloatware.

Motorola software, Samsung software, HTC software pre installed on the phone....is called bloatware by many.
Smart Action, S Voice, Blink Feed, etc.
Many ppl use Smart Actions. I stopped, didnt want to any more.
Reading some definitions of bloatware.....how come ppl want Game Center, but not this? I see one definition as unwanted software pre installed on devices. Some might want this on their Android phone
Its just a double standard, or some ppl just dont know...

When Moto had Zumo Cast, Moto cast....that was called bloat ware by many.
Maybe some ppl have a different view of whats bloat and whats not. Cuz I miss Zumo Cast/Moto cast and dont care for Smart Actions anymore.
