Can anyone tell me why this would be better than a $100 Droid mini if I put a case on it? I played with one over the weekend and I found the size to be refreshing from my Note 2.

Moto X beats/ is the same in almost every category. The only major difference is the software, specs wise they are pretty close.

Probably the biggest difference is the screen size. If you can live with .4" less screen, decision is easy.

The more stock experience, slightly larger AMOLED display (compared to the LCD on the Mini), matte finish on the back, and slightly larger battery.
I'm still getting the Mini, though. I prefer LCD over AMOLED, and I like the higher pixel density. I would have liked it more if Motorola put the matte soft touch Kevlar instead of the glossy finish on the Mini, but it's certainly not a deal breaker.

Don't launch this, launch the G2..... Motorola is garbage *im not a fanboy*. I enjoy all good phones but seriously if I didn't know any better.. All of the new droids that just got released are the same in every single way. Except for the exterior of course. Sorry I know I'm bashing the phone but I have a right to since I'm on Verizon

I'm on Verizon as well. The only reason why I won't get the Droid Maxx would've been because it doesn't have an SD slot. Other than that, from what I saw & compared to my AT&T (work phone) S4, it's a bangin device. I'd have to see the G2 in person & compare the two but I can't see myself using an LG as my main phone. I won an Optimus G Pro & it's actually impressive, but not switch from Motorola impressive.
